Job Description

 

First for Education is currently seeking hard working, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant in Stourbridge for a full-time and part time positions.

 

The skills we are looking for include:

The right candidate will need to demonstrate a clear passion for teaching. You will have good personal skills and good punctuality.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To work under the guidance of the class teacher to support teaching and learning of your 1:1 pupil.
  • To use behaviour management strategies effectively and in line with the school’s policy and procedures, which contribute to a purposeful learning environment.
  • To promote the inclusion of all pupils ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
  • To work 1:1 with an allocated student and provide support in all educational areas.

 

What we looking for:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification level 2 or above
  • Experience of SEND and working 1:1
  • Providing verbal feedback as appropriate.
  • Positive approach to promoting learning
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Innovative and imaginative support

 

All our staff, including classroom supply teachers who register with us, must hold a valid, enhanced disclosure. We can cross-check a current one through the DBS update service or you must apply for a new one. We can help with that.

All new staff are interviewed by an FFE consultant.
