We take pride in our high standards that we set in all that we do and that starts with our rigorous recruitment process. This includes our face to face interviews that we conduct with all our candidates followed by a thorough vetting process.
In order to work on behalf of First for Education, each candidate has to agree and sign up to “My Pledge” which is a list of behaviours and standards that is expected at all times.
We ask all our staff to read Part One of the DfE “Keeping Children Safe in Education” document, as we believe that safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility, including our supply workers. We expect all supply staff to adopt a child centred approach considering at all times the best interests of the children they deal with.
We ensure all candidates carry out safeguarding training every year and offer this as an online training course as well as notifying all our supply workers with relevant updates. We have a dedicated Safeguarding Consultant to take a lead on keeping up to date and managing any working practices related to all safeguarding issues who can also be used as an advice source.
Our detailed Operational Policy devises our working practices related to the Data Protection Act to ensure confidentiality and security of all our personal information held about people for work related purposes. We also make sure that all the people we do business with choose to agree when and how we can contact them, in keeping with GDPR regulations.
We would hope to resolve any concerns immediately by telephone contact via your dedicated consultant, however, we have a Complaints Policy which outlines what to do and what to expect from the process.
