SEND pupils and the Queen’s death
SEND pupils and the Queen’s death; so many of us are feeling sad and it can be difficult to explain. So, here is a storyboard for SEND teachers to explain all the events and feelings about the Queen’s death.
We have looked at teacher tips on how to support children process their feelings and understand the queen’s death in our previous post, click here to view. So this post is to support this challenge for teachers working with children with special needs.
This amazing storyboard to help children with special needs understand more about the Queen’s death, was created by Harry Watts Academy. We have their kind permission to share it with you and we hope it will help our SEND supply teachers. The aim of it is to help children with special needs understand more about the Queen’s death and funeral that will take place on Monday.
This story board gives a step-by-step account. It includes her death, feelings that surround it, her funeral and Charles III becoming king. It can be used to help teachers in the special education classroom support students to process the events and feelings. Please feel free to use.
